Bath of Aphrodite

Near Paphos there is a place where, according to legend, Aphrodite had fun with her lover Dionysus and other wonderful men. Kupalne can only be reached on foot. It was believed that Aphrodite loved to bathe in the shade of the fig tree and in the thickets of the fern. The water in the pool seems to give eternal youth.

Later, the tradition was interrupted by conscientious Christians, and the temple was given to both new converts and earthquakes. So to this day only the ruins have survived.
