RE: Planetary Boundaries and Sustainability - maybe Steemit could help

in #nature7 years ago

Interesting! I think that when we start living and building in harmony with nature we can increase this potential for our growth. Being self sufficient and sustainable are a key part of this new trend of a more harmonious relationship between people and their environment.

thanks for posting!

Agreed, @eco-alex. It will take changes in behaviour too.

Yup.. I would say changes in lifestyle which is a similar thing... although that doesn't always mean what people assume it might mean ..i.e many people think that you have to go back to a more primitive way of living to be 'green' but that's not at all the case!

I've spent the best part of half my life promoting this kind of thing.. I built a totally off-grid Earthship home that is not only highly eco with a tiny carbon footprint, but also very luxurious with all the creature comforts that most people want.

thanks!

Agree with you - living green doesn't necessarily mean living poorly. More and more choices are becoming available to allow for living greener, as your wonderful Earthship example shows. Thanks for sharing!
