Somewhere in the middle of nowhere
Hello! I am breaking the silence with a few photos from one hike a month ago. I was trying a new path(it had to lead me to the same lakes that I wrote a week ago) for which I read earlier something like "in any case don't go through the left path, at the last part of it there are too much creeping pine and you can get lost". On another website though, it was described like a pretty good one, steeper and shorter and with great panorama that you miss if you choose the other path(the longer and decent one).
So I had to check by myself who is telling the truth and the answer was - both of them. I really got lost, but just for a short time and the panorama was truly great. Making my way through the bursts and the snow exhausted me A LOT, so I was kind of relieved, that the snow stopped me at some point and I had no other choice than to come back. This is not complaining though, I like this fatigue. It is actually my main reason to hike. Anyway here is how it was up there.
And one "Message from Nature", that I will try to translate.
"You, who live on this land, know that I give it life and energy. Land, water and air - everything is under my control. I distribute the superior universal and divine powers. I shape, change and built everything here on Earth. I hide in myself tremendous power and many mysteries. I keep the keys for failure and success. Be careful with me. Love me, protect me and I will gift you with my priceless and infinite abundance." :)
Thank you for stopping by!
Such a nice phrase...If only humans were smart enough to actually understand it...
It's nice to have you back D, I've missed your posts. I love the raw beauty of the areas you hike; So different from the traditional view of beautiful scenery. You capture it in an unadulterated way, untouched by humans; Simply nature in it's true form. When you do show the human touch it's generally always in the distance, muted; Almost like you're reluctant to let human-ness encroach on your pristine world. Nice.
Are you in some kind of « writing flow » state lately, Galen? :) Words are really your “thing”. Thank you very much for this wonderful comment! Glad you liked it!
Hey @danielapetk, hope you're well. I'm not sure where my heads at but sometimes stuff just comes out and some of it makes sense (not always though). I even wrote a poem last night and posted it. Seriously.
I guess all of this stuff is always in me but I need the right triggers to extricate it from the tangled mess that is my brain. Your posts make me think stuff, the beauty of the scenery, the serenity of it, and it calls to me. There's the trigger that pulls some of the words out I guess.
:)
I asked not only because of the comment, but also because of your last posts. :) I read your poem three times actually and I like it lot, no kidding :) hope there will be more! Guns, piano, poetry - cool diversity :)
Oh, ok...well, I tend to just write what [how] I feel and sometimes it resonates with people for various reasons. In truth I think I'm a reasonably interesting person, certainly nothing unique or special, just normal and a bit interesting. I've lived a lot of life and whilst I'm far from the most intelligent person I think I have some value to add and am fun to be around mostly. I guess it's difficult to know what people really think of me but in general I think I'm a decent person and reasonably good company.
Thanks for your reply and for liking my poem. It's a bit deep. My friend @stuffing read it today over lunch and she liked one particular part which made me happy. She's far smarter and better at writing than I am so to impress her with that bit felt good.
In the mountains, there is always a silence that rings. And the feeling when you realize that you can not breathe normally ...
Thank you for subscribing to my blog. This is mutual )
Hey, @marymik23, “silence that rings” - just awesome! :))
Yes, there is such an expression in Russian, I hope you understand what its meaning is in English.
