Wet snow is not so bad actually

Some great posts about Earthing regularly pop up to me here on Steemit and I am always happy to see one, because I believe in the power and necessity of this practice.

Yesterday it was this very detailed and informative post:
Shoes & electricity: the silent health hazard & what we can do about it

If you are not familiar with the benefits of Earthing you should check it out. I’ve practiced it on a daily basis for months now and I already sometimes literally can feel the need on a physical level to ground. Also I can feel pretty clearly the changes that occur in my body and mind after being in direct contact with Earth for a while. Isn’t that cool? So easy and quick recharge. Especially if it is a rainy day, the changes are super tangible. That’s why rainy days are my favorites.
I’ve read a lot about Earthing and the scientific explanation makes sense to me, that’s why I started practicing it regularly.
I don’t completely exclude that there can be a little placebo also because of my strong belief that it is healthy :D. Placebo or not, science proves, we are electrical beings, living on an electrical planet and our cells operate best within a specific range of voltage which we obtain when we are in direct contact with Earth. Nothing hippie, just science. I encourage you to ground!

The photo is from today :)
Thanks for reading!

I spend a lot of time in the countryside despite living in a city. I find I am more relaxed and in tune with my surroundings when I am out there. Even just driving into the Adelaide Hills relaxes me. As soon as I leave the built up urban area behind me I have a feeling of attachment to the planet. There's nothing like sitting on a hillside in the country just listening to the silence of the world around. I also feel it's a good place to get more centred within as well. I go to this place a lot and on the occasion I took this photo it was a little rainy and an electrical storm was coming in. It felt amazing. I wonder if it is the placebo effect you talk about or something else?

I've heard of grounding before, not sure where however will check into it a little more and see what I find. Thanks for sharing.

No placebo here, only nature’s power! Amazing Shot, lucky you to catch this moment!
I have one of those too :)

Haha, almost the same rainbow! I love getting out of the city and into the country where I feel so much more alive and connected. We had a full on weekend last week of hiking and kayaking and felt energized all week because of it. We try to do something like that every couple of weeks at least.

I did this earlier as well. Melting snow here too. My experience was also very good. Regardless of the authenticity of the electricity of it all, it just felt great after a long winter to connect with the ground again and mentally overcome the coldness to enjoy the feeling for awhile. Right on @danielapetk

Hey, thank you for your comment, @jozefrichard!! It’s great that you do it! The spring will be great for long barefoot walks:)

In some ways I think you are crazy walking in the snow haha, but then I did it again the next day too.

This is an interesting idea. I live in the tropics & at home we walk about without shoes. I understand that this is not the same. I should step out there & walk on the earth or on grass to potentially feel the same way.

And it is probably raining often?
Lucky you :) best time for earthing is while it is raining

It does rain often enough. I vaguely remember how it used to feel when I was a child playing ball on a wet pitch with bare feet.
