Properties/Actions: Diaphoretic, anti-inflammatory.
Benefits: Used to equalize blood flow, effective in treating headaches and migraine, arthritis, colds and
flu.
Suggested Use: Infusion, tincture, capsule.
Growing, harvesting, and wild crafting tips and specifics: Plant from seeds, seedlings, or root
divisions, either in fall before danger of frost or in spring after the threat of frost has passed. It will self-
sow throughout the garden. Likes dry, hot, sun. Needs very little attention in general.
Cautions: May cause ulceration of the mucous membranes when taken long-term. Best to take two-week
breaks every few months if taking it regularly as a preventative.
