Daily Nature Fix: Charged by a 500lb Tortoise! (Original Video)

Hi folks! Tonight's Daily Nature Fix is going to feature a short video take at work a few years ago. For those of you who don't know, I'm an exhibit designer and fabricator by trade. I make exhibits for museums as well as habitats for zoo animals. I was building two habitats in this building at the time; one was a komodo dragon display and the other was for these giant Aldabra tortoises. I was in there with two tortoises when this happened:

Haha! Check out that full speed charge! These two torts are actually super friendly and like people. This one's name was Al and he likes to be pet on his neck and shoulder area, which is actually what he was coming over for. I obliged right after I took the video. :) Here's a blurry cellphone pic of these two gentle giants:
