Fall Trees Collection 5: Through the Leaves [Photography]
I think you might enjoy this set of photos displaying fall tree colors. This collection is a polar opposite to my last set, which showed colorful trees and leaves in the night. In this set, we get to see how the light plays on the canopies of the trees in the daytime.
This is a large collection. On final count, I uploaded 64 images from my camera, so enjoy skimming through.
Photos 1 through 10
Starting with images using more of the late morning light. Everything is illuminated, and soft shadows barely darken the undersides of leaves.
Photos 11 through 20
Caught first sight of a pure red tree. Many peaches and oranges. They all have a fruity sherbet tint to the color tones. The dull morning light cast a vanilla shade over the top.
Photos 21 through 30
When the sun passes over the apex of the sky, it shines down more like a spotlight. Some leaves block all sunlight, leaving only a silhouette. Other become a kaleidoscope of colors as they spin in the wind.
Even a pine tree joins this set. Most likely a Ponderosa Pine. Its summer needles become a golden winter coat to protect it from frosty winds. Pinecones are preparing to drop to feed rodents and birds.
Photos 31 through 40
Taller trees with large canopies receive the most direct sunlight every day, boasting the brightest colors. They showcase a myriad of fashionable colors.
Photos 41 through 50
Fiery umbras flicker from these trees. Hot oranges, browns, yellows. The leaves are packed in tightly on the trees, ready to shower the earth with calming flames.
Photos 51 through 60
Finally, the royal reds reveal rows of resplendent ruffles. Shades of burgundy, wine, punch, berry, and pink.
Photos 61 through 64
Concluding with a diverse array of some of the more assorted trees. The sunlight fights to pack in one last final punch to knockout the last bit of colors for the day.
Ending with one last afterglow image from the morning, bringing us back around full circle.
In the coming week, I'm going to be sharing recent photos of the changing season.
Expect to find plenty of photo collections shot by @creativetruth featuring colorful leaves, trees, flowers, and even winter berries.
My goal in this series is to share the wonderful sights of the season around me with the many people abroad in the wider world who may not be familiar with the beautiful sights in nature where I live.
Follow along with me, and enjoy the evocative sights!
