Praying Mantis, Night Photography Style!!!
Hey everyone. Last night I went out with a few mates for a nice couple of cold beers. On my return home and waiting at my front door I was greeted by this pretty little critter so I thought that I would take a few snaps and enter him into papa-peppers animal contest...
I love this pic and the details in his eyes and his cute 'questioning' glance at me. We shared an interesting moment one of mutual respect and intrigue.
They seem to be able to extend their eye balls in a 360 degree fashion similar to a chamelion in order to be able to see in all directions.
I took these pics in the dark of night and I feel that they came out rather nicely!
They really are alien like looking, brave little critters for sure, pretty fearless in-fact!!
