Early May Chilli Harvest!
Hey everyone, how cool is this? Chilli Pepper's are a Summer plant. We find ourselves currently at the beginning of Winter, The nights getting longer, days shorter and weather cooling down daily, however still my Chilli Peppers are producing fruit! Not much quiet beats a picture of nature with the beautiful blue skies as a backdrop!
Today I decided to take a walk around the plot to take some nice pics of all my different Chilli Peppers... Above we have dried out Cayenne Peppers, great for harvesting seeds or crushing up for a nice cayenne pepper spice, fantastic in stews and soups. I have been personally using Cayenne pepper as a dietary supplement for years, it thins the blood is very good for the heart and a general all round healthy tonic, albeit tasting terrible!
Above and below my Cherry bombs, these are very round in Summer and for some or other reason much sharper and more elongated in Winter, no complaints though as they taste just as good!
Moruga Scorpion, ever heard of it? Not quiet as hot as a Carolina Reaper, however packs a fat punch in terms of heat and is quiet a nice looking fruit very similar to the formidable Reaper!
Talking of Carolina Reapers here we have yellow ones, not quiet the same shape as their red counterparts but equally as hot, will certainly give you an epic case of 'ring sting' ;)
Lastly we have my amazing Red Carolina Reapers one dry and one wet hot as hell and my favourite chilli for sure!
What Horrible Chilli is this you may ask? IT'S NOT, LOL, a nice big purple egg plant or aubergine. Another fascinating plant still growing in Winter, how blessed am I?
Next year I will be planting vegetables early Spring as well as much later into the Summer as clearly by this experiment, they don't seem too phased by the cold, not yet anyways!
Nature the incredible.
I trust you have an awesome week onwards.
Love and light, be blessed.
Cheer$;)
