Sometimes nature needs a helping hand - My new Bird feeder.

in #nature6 years ago (edited)

Given how dry it currently is and the fact that all the animals including the wild birds are suffering, I decided to put up a new bird feeder, and with the help of a great friend the bird feeder was up in no time, we placed it under the shade of a monkey apple tree close to a water reservoir so that they could have water, but also close enough to the back porch so that we could watch them. We filled it with some mixed birdseed and it was not long before our first visitors arrived.

These little guys sure put a smile on my face!

Awww these are absolutely delightful. I feed my wildlings also everyday. Loved the pics.. aww look they're so happy... @hedac and I call them "pichuichuis" the wild birdies

Oh Bless you - honestly I would expect that from you LOL, I think I might steal that and call mine "pichuichuis" too :D

hahahah that would be fancy that someone in another corner of the world would call them that, but I think it's sweet... right now I have a troupe of sparrows coming every morning, two necked doves and pletny of magpies, they go in turns... my honorary pets...

The best pets are the wild ones!

I love your appreciation for nature and all things free, Oh... I also saw our first mating pair of sparrows are back - YAY!!!! (I didn't manage to get a good picture of them yet :D but I will
