Missed Bakri; Sumatera Elephant Baby in Acheh
This a moment when I first met with a baby Sumatran elephants, a few years ago. We call Bakri.
That day, Bakri moved from elephant training center in Saree, Aceh Besar, Aceh, to CRU Manee, Pidie, Aceh, Sumatra. In addition to Bakri, related agencies also move the other four adult elephants to CRU Manee.
These elephants are expected to help the rangers to chase wild elephant troubling farmers in Pidie district.
The elephants will later be assigned together with the mahot (elephant handler) entered the jungle Pidie to "locked" the migration of wild elephants there.
Almost eight years have passed. I am no longer met Bakri. I just heard the baby elephant was now see also big. I am a bit missed Bakri, although reticent when face to face with him.
