Glossy Ibises and the blessed puddle

Glossy Ibises pave their migration path to Africa through Israel and many of them choose to winter here as well.
Many photographers neglect this common, not-so photography appealing brown bird.
I'm not that arrogant in choosing a subject for my lens and think that it is a matter of "how" and not a matter of "what".

A large puddle, appearing every winter after heavy rains in a small olive grove on the edge of my neighbourhood, allowed me to photograph the birds without moving far away from home.
