TRAINING YOUR PIGEONS!!!

Our world is crawling with pigeon lovers.There's hardly someone who doesn't love pigeons.Many people keep pigeon as pet but some people including myself, keep pigeon as their own family members.
Just having pigeons at home doesn't express your love for them, it's how you take care of them.So in this article, I will share some info about how to train your pigeons step by step.Before I start, I'd be very glad to introduce to you my kids,

Okay then let's get back into the topic:

1. This is very important that you don't buy many pigeons at start.I suggest you to buy only one pair at the begining.And
   also, choosing the right pair is very important.When you go to buy your pigeon pair, make sure you buy the most
   active and fresh pair from the shop or loft.Because pigeon being fresh means that the owner is taking good care of
   his/her pigeons and they are healthy.

2. Check the marking of the pigeon pair you are buying.Don't buy any pigeon that is mismarked.
   If you don't know what mismarked means, then please let me tell you about it.
   Accurate marking of a pigeon means that pigeon has perfect
   pattern of colours.For example, please look at Heart's picture.Her whole body is covered with the same coloured
   feathers.This means she has accurate marking.
   But on the other hand, if u didn't notice Sweet has black feathers above his eyes and there is one black feather on his
   neck.This means he is mismarked.I know what you may be thinking,"Why did he bought a pigeon that is mismarked
   when he is the one telling not to buy?"
   Well, you can say that he kinda got my attention right at the moment I looked at him.He was super active and healthy
   so I couldn't resist.

3. Give them good amount of seeds like barley, corn, millet, wheat etc. mixed.You can use peanuts while training them as
   peanuts are pretty good treat for pigeons.
   You can train them to come to you when you call them using seeds or peanuts.[But know this that after training,
   whenever you will call your pigeons, they won't come to you because they like you.They will come to eat ;p ]
   Don't forget to give a good amount of clear water for both drinking and bathing.Pigeons like taking bath.

4. Don't keep them in cages always.Sometimes, open the doors and let them have some free space to flap their wings.

5. Let them have enough amount of sunlight as nothing is compared with sunlight for pigeons.Sunlight prevents and
   heals many diseases of pigeons.

6. Patience is the key to success in pigeon training.Keep them a little bit hungry before starting training.But make sure
   they are not starving.Because if they are starving, they won't focus on the training.sometimes take some seed on
   your plum and try to feed them from your hand.This way, they will stop being scared of you.

7. Maintain a strict schedule for taking care of your pigeon.When your pigeons start breeding, stop training and don't
   bother with them.Let them have their privacy until their babies hatch.

8. And finally, keep them close to your heart and they will start trusting you and stop being scared of you.
