Metalic Blue Armour Dragonfly Knight - 4 photos.

In the reed and tall grass covering the banks of Vistula River in Poland, one may encounter this beauty among the dragonflies, called Banded demoiselle or Calopteryx splendens in Latin.

This species actually belongs to damselflies, which are slightly smaller than dragonflies. They inhabit areas in close approximation of fresh flowing waters, around slow flowing rivers and streams.

The specimen presented here is a male and doesn't he look like a Knight in blue armour?
