Baru Peeks Through the Clouds During Rainy Season in Panama - Beautiful Sunday
Rainy season here in Panama provides many evenings of clouds and rain. Tonight, the clouds rolled back and Baru even made a rare appearance! The sun was peeking through and made for some interesting views of the surrounding hills. Enjoy this glimpse into our small corner of the mountains of Panama.
I love how the clouds are just hanging around. The sun is blanketing part of this hill with warmth while the rest still sits in the shadows. This is the view to the left of my house, right outside of our neighborhood.
Looking to the right of our house and neighborhood today was this lovely view. The clouds were glowing off in the distance.
Straight in front of our house, we see Baru. He was thinking about making an appearance, but not sure he really wanted to show his face.
Suddenly Baru was visible for about a total of one minute! It was a rare rainy season sighting!! These rare sightings are what keep one sane during rainy season...remembering that it will be sunny again tomorrow morning before the rain starts back up in the afternoon!
Currently it is super cloudy with heavy gray clouds. If they sink a little lower, we will be blanketed with a heavy fog as the sun completely sets in the next few minutes.

Nice shots! I miss being near mountains, although mountains that may decide to wake up and spit lava might be a little unnerving.
I hope rainy season isn't too bad, there! It's supposed to stop snowing here around five in the morning.
Lol - yes, I guess it would be if you think about it. ;) Yea for snow maybe being done for you! Rainy season isn't so bad. We haven't had rain at all today but the winds picked up. Maybe it was a preview of rainy season. Won't know until it starts in full force...whenever that is!
I think i feel bit like that. When it is gloomy and rain, feels a bit sad. When it clears, a bit more happy😎

OK I had to google what 'Baru' was, and I now know its 'Volcán Barú'. The one on the left? What kind of temperature is it right now in Panama?
Lol - yep, that's Baru. The whole last pic is of the volcano. I'm guessing it used to be pretty huge before the sides and top blew off. Thankfully it hasn't erupted in 500 years (although it's due around now - it's 1600 years old and has erupted 4 times). Temps are great where we live in the mountains. It's called Eternal Spring - gets down in the 60s at night and reaches mid 70s in the day (maybe a little warmer some days).
It looks like a very wet place. Lots of green in your pictures. We get lots of rain here in England, in facts its quite famous for it!
Yes, we were getting kind of brown and then rainy season started up a few weeks ago, so everything is turning nice and green again! Wahoo! We were even having water shortages and drought like conditions. Now we have a ton of water!
