Frangipani flower found by a French botanist, named Charles Plumier. Nahhh that's why frangipani flowers have Latin name Plumeria. Many think this flower comes from a country of the same name that is Cambodian country, whereas this plumeria flower comes from countries in Central America like Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia and Cuba.
