"Walking trees" family Sokratea rostut in Ecuador. These trees are able to walk slowly along the ground, overcoming distances of up to 20 meters per year.

When the soil is exhausted under a tree, it is beginning to take long roots, trying to find a new, more fertile soil.

Finding a suitable location, new roots are stuck in the ground, and the tree leans slowly towards them, gradually pulling out their old roots out of the ground.

So they can move around the Earth at a distance of 2-3 cm per day.
