Amazon River

The Amazonia region of Peru is abundant with wildlife, but I’m drawn not only to the fauna but to the flora. At up to 2.5 meters in width, the Victoria amazonica is the largest water lily. I came across these unique water plants while exploring the Supay Caño on the Ucayali, a major tributary to the Amazon River. image
