An Instant Home Remedy for Stomach Infection.
It's Summer time in India, with day temperature soaring high as 42-45 degree and going out in Sun is curse. Staying home and eating light food is the only boon to stay away from heat effect. Eating a bit spicy or unhygienic food may lead to stomach infection causing stomach ache and diarrhoea condition.
Well, I am not putting up a warning message to all to avoid visiting India. However, I want to share a Home remedy to get rid of such stomach infection instantly. Many knows this is also a wedding season in many parts of India, and taking part and having those party food is also a mandate for many people. Me being one of them who have attended a dozen of wedding in last 7 days. Getting me in a situation to cry out loud with Stomach Infection. With no nearby doctor , we always give a try to our known Home Remedy. And to get well with severe pain in my stomach I did it too, In fact my Mom helped me get rid of it.
In our are we have plenty of Guava trees. It's a kind of wild plant which one can find in every home. Guava as a fruit is very good for health, and also to keep stomach in good condition, but when there is no Guava in Trees , then It's LEAVES is come into our rescue. Seeing the unbearable pain and my continuous visit to loo, my Mom instantly pluck few of the Leafes, wash it, put it in grinder, added half spoon of sugar and half glass of water and switch on the button. She then filter out liquid and gave it to me. I gulped it instantly which taste like Guava juice.
It was the magical touch of my Mom, that I started feeling better, within 30 minute. The Guava Leafes juice is quite effective medicine I had it first time.
Here are the Ingredients, just to sum up.
- Guava leafes (5-6)
- Half Spoon Sugar
- Half Glass Water.
So in case, you suffer with such pain to give a try. It is effective way to get rid of stomach pain.
Later on I checked on Internet to find, Guava Leaves are hot selling item at Amazon, and other website.

@steemflow @vibesforlife I had this misperception that Indians didn't get stomach bugs, only visitors to India do haha!!!! Of course that's illogical!!!
I'll keep the guava leaf remedy in mind for when I visit... how fabulous you have this remedy on your doorstep and glad you felt better quickly.
That heat sounds unbearable! Is it always so hot in the summer? We have had unseasonably warm weather... it's kinda scary really.

We only have 3 months of such extreme heat @riverflows post that it's pleasant all the time including the winter. And even Indian are too vulnerable to such infection a bit of spicy in summer and danggg! ....hope now with remedy you will feel safer to visit anytime

REALLY GOOD POST @steemflow!! I have known intellectually about this use for guava tree leaves but never heard any anecdotal stories, not have I given any thought how to use. I don;t currently have a guava tree in our garden, but I'm seriously planning to go get one, plant it and love on it big time!! Your mama is one clever and smart woman!! The practical how to? Gold. And so very helpful. Thank you.

Natural remedies are some of the safest to use and cheap at the same time. I also use them in Romania. Unfortunately, I do not have access to plants growing in India.
Yuppss . I know there are many common home remedies very popular in Romania. Wish you could share few for NM

I have never enjoyed this fruit so never really have it. Though I have read it has healing properties but never tried it. The leaves, how do they taste? Btw I thought the wedding season is over. In Mumbai normally Oct to March is the season, now because of Summer and Monsoon coming up no one usually prefers to have weddings in this time of the year.
Really, you have not tasted Guava before..very strange. For us it's a common fruit grows twice in a year means two different season. It has unique quality to remove acidity and keeping stomach in good condition. Wish you could have sooner...
