The name of a tree or shrub and fruits of the same name. Pear - one of the oldest fruit trees grown by mankind. The first mention of the pear belongs to the oldest history: it was cultivated in China, then it came to Persia, where Greece and the Roman Empire came from. Currently, thousands of varieties of pears are known to be grown in the warmest and warmest areas of the world.

A pear is a medium-sized fruit, its shape resembles a bulb, although there are varieties with a rounded shape. The pulp of ripe pears is delicate and juicy, with a characteristic aroma (the stronger the aroma produced by the fruit, the more vitamins and other beneficial substances it contains) and a sweet flavor. In addition to fresh consumption, the pears have dozens of ways of cooking: they are dried, baked, preserved, made into juices and compotes, jam is made, jams and marmalades are made.

Low calorie product. 100 g of pear is only 42 kcal, so it can not cause significant damage to the figure. However, the caloric content of the dried pear is 270 kcal per 100 g. It is very nutritious due to its high carbohydrate content and its excessive consumption can cause obesity.

The pear contains a large amount of nutrients: fiber, sucrose, glucose, fructose, carotene, folic acid, manganese, iron, iodine, copper, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, fluorine, molybdenum, pectins, ash and organic Acid Vitamins - A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C, E, P, PP, as well as tannins. Pears have been used in folk medicine for the treatment of prostatitis for thousands of years.

A few days after the application of pear compote, this disease has a surprising effect and its long-term use leads to a cure. And if a man is already 50 years old, then it is necessary to harvest wild pear trees so that winter takes compote and pear tea until spring. This is not only a cure, but also a prevention of diseases. Pears are used as an antimicrobial agent, whose fruits create an unfavorable environment for pathogenic bacteria. Pear fruits contain organic acids that, together with the hydrochloric acid of the gastric juice, acidify the food in the stomach.

Pectin and tannins in pears in large quantities, these bacteria deprive of mobility. Fruits contain arbutin antibiotics that kill microbes. The antimicrobial action of pears affects the intestinal flora and the microbes that cause inflammation of the kidneys and bladder. The wild pear is more effective as a bactericidal agent. Since pears contain more fructose than glucose (and, as you know, fructose does not require insulin for absorption in the body), this fruit is useful for pancreas dysfunction. Therefore, fresh and dried pears, as well as their beverages, are included in the diets for obesity and diabetes.

Pear fruits contain unique essential oils, biologically active substances that can increase the body's defenses, resist infectious diseases, have an anti-inflammatory effect and even combat depression. Much of the macro and micronutrients of the pear: for example, iron, necessary for the synthesis of healthy blood cells. Therefore, it is recommended to eat pears with fatigue, dizziness, heart palpitations that occur with greater physical effort, as well as loss of appetite, cracks in the corners of the mouth, poor tissue healing and even sensitivity to cold , all these are symptoms of iron deficiency in the body. The pear pulp contains many potassium ions, without a sufficient amount of which it is impossible to imagine the normal functioning of the heart and muscles, because potassium ions are responsible in the body for cell regeneration. Therefore, eating a few pears can relieve pain in a stretched muscle.

In addition, in the absence of potassium, tissue growth decreases, nervousness, insomnia, heart palpitations due to a weakening of cardiac activity and increased blood cholesterol level appear. With these symptoms, the treatment with pears can do a good job.

The organic acids of pear fruits improve digestion, improve metabolism, stimulate liver and kidney activity. These acids also have an antimicrobial effect, which inhibits the decomposition process in the colon. The broths, the compotes of dried pears are rich in tannins, which have an astringent effect, which is useful for intestinal disorders. Fresh pears contain fairly thick dietary fiber, which increases intestinal peristalsis, so you should not eat them with disorders. But when constipation the pears of compote need to eat necessarily.

Pear compotes are also useful in inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract: this drink increases diuresis and has a beneficial effect on the renal bladder and pelvis. For anemia (anemia) it is useful to eat two large pears daily for lunch as a dessert. At the same time, the pears are peeled, the pulp is kneaded with one hand and mixed with two teaspoons of honey. Try pear and acute bronchitis: in a glass of pear juice, spread a tablespoon of rosehip syrup dessert and take half a cup three times a day.

The treatment with pears can be carried out almost all the year, since the fruits during the drying retain almost all the biologically active substances. However, remember, after having eaten a pear, you should not drink raw water, and you should also eat heavy food and meat. And still: it is absolutely not advisable to eat a pear on an empty stomach. An old oriental proverb says: "In the morning, an apple is a rose for the heart! In the morning, a pear is a poison for the heart!" In diseases of the lungs, the use of pears is recommended, and a decoction of dried pears helps with cough and fever. The boiled and baked pears are used as antitussives for bronchitis and pulmonary tuberculosis. The pear broth is administered to a feverish patient to quench thirst and promote urination.

The diuretic effect of the decoction is explained by the fact that it contains the same substances as in bearberry leaves ("bear ears"), the glycoside arbutin. This decoction is effective both in urolithiasis and in the inflammatory processes of the urinary tract. Pear juice and decoctions have antibacterial action, contribute to the illumination of infected urine and the elimination of toxins from the body. In diseases of the circulatory system, pears are used as a means to strengthen capillaries. In pear juice there are many substances with vitamin P activity, and vitamin P reduces the increase in permeability of the walls of blood vessels.

In the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, ripe pears, due to their tannins, are effectively used as a fixative. Some varieties contain up to 20% tannins. For the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines, a combination of tannins and pectin is a protective agent. Pears are especially useful in treating dyspepsia in children. Pear jelly and compotes have an astringent effect. It is also recommended to boil the dried pears and use them with oatmeal broth. Pears have tonic properties. Calm heartbeat, improve mood, relieve tension.

In case of diabetes, it is recommended to take fresh pear juice regularly at 50-70 g 30 minutes before meals. With good tolerance, the dose is gradually increased to 1 cup. For obesity, diabetes, for diseases of the kidneys, liver and biliary tract, for urolithiasis and cystitis, the diet includes fresh and dried pears. Its fruits have a low energy value, they have around 84% water, so they can be used in a restrictive diet.

Pear fruits are low in sodium and chlorine, so they are suitable for diets without salt, cardiovascular diseases and nephritis. The fruits of tannins have a strengthening effect on the intestines and the stomach. For fever, the pear broth is used to lower the temperature. Due to the presence of complex essential oils, the juice of the forest pears is a good diuretic.

Suffering from gastrointestinal diseases can be harmful when used fresh. Pears, which are eaten fresh, can aggravate the stomach, unlike boiled ones. It is not advisable to eat pears on an empty stomach; or after the meat, the pears should be eaten no more than 30 minutes after eating. Pears can not drink water - they can cause diarrhea. Older people can only eat soft, juicy pears or bake them lightly, since hard pears can cause stomach problems.
