RE: Burdock - Abundance of Wild Food, Natural Medicine, Seeds and Fond Memories

Wow. Extraordinary. I might have to plant some. It used to grow wild in England. There was something we wanted to make with it but never did. Hang on a minute..

Oh and hubby did make it.. just before my time.

Ooh wow! Hedgerow beer! Did he enjoy it? I haven't made beer with burdock yet, but I have made several herbal beers and had some good experiences. One of my fav. was elecampane.

He said it was really lovely. It is quite a common thing to do in England. We tried most of the Hedgerow foods. It always felt so magical and ancient.

How amazing! I really had no clue about hedgerow beers until I read Buhner's book on sacred herbal beers. Now I know that there are hedgerow foods too thanks to you :)

Oh the hedgerows can be hundreds of years old and have all sorts of things living in them, and are protected national treasures...full of animals and plants. Really sacred!
