Tree Fundraiser, Round Two

Only five days remaining in the second round of my steem tree fundraiser! I report all numbers to @riverflows on the 1st of December for her to burn LOTUS for SPUD day.

118.680 steem collected so far! THANK Y'ALL.

Think we can get the whole fundraiser wrapped up in two rounds?

I'm thinking about trading out the almond and chestnut trees for native persimmon trees. I don't have enough natives in my gardening, and these would decrease the price of the order as well.

What are y'all's thoughts? I've been feeling a tad guilty about my lack of natives, and the price would come down by $20 with four persimmons instead of two chestnuts and two almonds. Heck, it'd be under $100 with just two persimmon trees and some patience with the persimmon seeds I already started. We'll see how it goes at the end of the fundraiser.

With crypto down so bad, the 1.4 LTC I have (with a lot of help from y'all!) is sitting around $70 USD right now. At current prices, I'll need something like 2.4 LTC to go with the four persimmon plan and 2 LTC for the two persimmons.

I really appreciate everyone's help!

Here soon I'm going to start a small series about easy actions we can all take to deal with climate change and it's related ailments, while also improving your quality of life.

All action for the good of all.

Nate.

I think it's better to have more diversity. So get more types of trees, not more trees. Also, chestnuts get really big. Might be a problem. Better get one of those Chinquapin bushes! Or whatever it's called! (Help @bobydimitrov)

Allagheny chinquapins? Looks like they're a native relative of the chestnuts. I'll look into them and see if I can find some, thanks! I think @mountainjewel grows some of those. Perhaps I could coax a few seeds from her :)

Nice to see it coming together, Nate. Start with what you have. Get your seeds in. Ask you neighbours and community if they have some young trees you could transplant? Plant chestnut seeds NOW so in 2 years you will have more trees to plant.

I love it! Worst case scenario, we have no trees than we know what to do with! 😍 What a glorious problem.

This is super amazing and i am glad through Steem we are planting trees accross the globe.
