This plant is native to tropical region, annual is it's season
They used in cuisines, these leaves prove as means
Leaves tastes different depending on the species, for us these plants are daily scenes
Almost every house have this plant, for life this plant is naturally implant.
Some species come under the perennial category, and now this category have subcategory
it gives birth to small and white flowers, beauty of flowers doesn't need any explanation because it showers
This plant have diversified scents due to essential oils, for using it we always joins
In my case i drink water while putting basil leaves into it, it have very ancient essence i have to admit.
The exact taxonomy of basil is not possible due to different number of cultivars, for this plant there not many bazaars
Many asian basils have a clove like flavor, in general this means these are stronger than others
There are lemon basil, which hold strong lemony smell due to chemical citral
For us basil is holy aspect, we hold divinely respect.
I remember those school days when we were eating one basil leaf everyday and then leaving, because we had strong belief and still believing
Some aspects of life never receives absolute definition, it depends upon personal feelings and narration
Our body is temple, by consuming anything don't make it tremble
Plant on which we hold faith still, is holy basil.

Love the smell of holy basil when I had it growing around my house in Albuquerque. Hopefully I'll be able to grow some in containers this winter. Add it to honey to make a great sweetener for tea.
