Tanaman ini cukup gampang dikenali, tinggi seputar 10-15 cm serta dapat meraih 30 cm, batang lunak berair mengkilat, daun serupa daun sirip lunak serta mengkilap juga. Pada ujung batang umum tumbuh bunga majemuk seperti bunga sirih.
