NATIVE AMERICANS AND HINDUS ORGANIZE FUNDRAISING FOR GOODWILL MISSION TO YEZIDIS IN IRAQ
Damon Corrie and Chase Iron Eyes
The Baba Shex Khurto has invited two leading Native American advocates of the world’s First Peoples to tour Ezidikhan in Kurdish-administered Iraq next month.
According to the Yezidi nation’s official news agency, His Holiness the Baba Sheikh recently appointed the Caribbean indigenous rights activist Damon Gerard Corrie as the Yezidi nation Ezidikhan’s official ambassador-at-large.
Last month, Mr. Corrie served as the Yezidi nation Ezidikhan’s official envoy at the 16th Session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues where he presented Ezidikhan’s official statement objecting to Turkish air attacks upon Yezidi territory.
Ambassador Corrie will visit Kurdish-administered Iraq in June at the invitation of the Baba Sheikh, who will swear in Ambassador Corrie and bless his mission in Ezidikhan and across the world.
Ambassador Corrie will be accompanied by Chase Iron Eyes, a prominent Native American Indian activist, attorney, politician, video documentary producer, and member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe of North America.
Ambassador Corrie is currently seeking funds to undertake his first mission to Iraq, including the purchase and delivery directly to Yezidi authorities of medical supplies that local field clinics desperately need.
Supporters of the Yezidi cause are encouraged to contribute to this diplomatic and humanitarian mission. A fundraising page endorsed by Ezidikhan authorities to accept contributions toward this mission has been set at
