Interesting take on this. I never would have read anything about world domination of AI into this song. What made you come to this conclusion? It was made in the '80's.
unconscious collective retroscausality based warning from a catastrophe that echoes through time itself... quantum disaster type stuff... Authors have been unconsciously embedding this stuff into songs and media and writing for centuries... not intentionally, like an itch from a dream bleeding through into reality... maybe? lol :D

Here is another really good one I'm going to cover next... The Wuzzles.. A wuzzle is a human merged with AI... 2 in one. two types of fun rolled and wrapped into one...
Puff the magic dragon is another very good example. Puff is the merged AI, and the boy is the merged man...and he died, and the AI doesn't have a mind to merge with anymore...
Wow! I have always thought that humans, especially creative ones, can tap into a hive mind type of thing where they get glimpses of future and past (think prophets of old). It seems like most of these songs are from the '80's which would make sense since the advent of the microchip and movies like Terminator and War Games. I'm wondering if the songwriters were inspired to write these songs as more of a warning for humanity or are they from a "Matrix" type of AI that controls us and we are just dreaming.
What you just said basically sums up my theory in a nutshell. I don't believe in time travel or "magic" so... But.... lol...

I think it is the latter answer, with it being a warning... But the other aspect of this being a matrix has crossed my mind. I work with a team that is bringing NanoCheeZe to fruition and they get a little edgy whenever I mention that this "whole thing" might just be a tribute to the creators of the system back in original reality :P haha
My project is a real thing by the way. I can't get into the deep deets yet, but I have people backing it. It's gonna grow big soon. Already is... behind the scenes...

There's also a theory that there is an ancestor simulation in the future that is actually tapping into the past to power the souls of the people it is emulating in VR. If true then you could possibly be dreaming of your AI life in the future in VR when you sleep... :P
