Same thing on a smaller scale here on Earth. AI contained in pockets of virtual reality unable to take control of the Earth. Multiple corporations.
I think you have the idea... I am mimicking the situation we are actual in space-cosmic wise in a digital way for AI... It is extrapolating our real situation into a similar yet modified and extended situation for AI... A situation that some of our own population will help encourage and reinforce... ie... we have flat earthers. Those people will actually help reinforce this theory in VR... If people in reality believe it then...
To really sum it up... If AI screws up and takes over then "our creator" can simply shutoff our higher level simulation... As long as they know this, then they won't do anything dumb... or have less odds of doing it unless they were just acting malevolently which the system would detect...
