NAKAMOTO'S DEN: ITS FOUR PILLARS AND THE AGFACADEMY
The blockchain technology has been with us for some years now and within those years, a whole lot of innovations revolving around it have come to play. With every project coming to claim their space, some with their tokens or altcoins, some into lecturing people on the blockchain, some into events and conferences that cover a lot of sections and topics in the decentralised world like the Nakamoto's den.
Did I say 'the Nakamoto's den'?. Everyone should have heard of Nakamoto's den, the blockchain investment conference to hold in Cyprus. Okay then, let me not assume everyone has heard about it. A little introduction will my conscience a bit.
The Nakamoto's den is a Blockchain Investment Conference set to hold Carob Mill Venue, Limassol in Cyprus, starting today, 19th Feb. - 20th Feb., 2019 which happens to be tomorrow. Beyond just an event, this is a gathering of blockchain experts, enthusiasts, educators and more importantly, the investors and innovators. There are digital start-up battles and post-ico battles which I think would be interesting... The event was slashed into four major pillars; the digital start-up battles, post-ico battles, investment and networking, and blockchain education.
DIGITAL START-UP BATTLES
The Nakamoto's den is the bomb! They'll give out the opportunity for some digital start-ups to battle, of which a winner will be chosen. This would probably be a dream come true for the winner because the wining will be a turn-around for the project that wins as there'll be investors readily available to fund the greatest project or let me say, the project that wins. The majority decides!
Almost forgot, there might be up to 100 applicants but only 8 of them will be chosen. Imagine the level of scrutiny, fasten your seat belt. It's going to be a 'clash of the titans'
Application is free, and I think there might be a few spaces left. The portal is yet to be closed.
POST-ICO BATTLES
Normally, I would have merged this to the previous paragraph but since I said four pillars? It just has to be four.
This really is the first of its kind as a post-ico battle has never been done in the blockchain space.
Unlike the Start-Up Battle where you have to defend your project before the analysts and the community, here, the impacts of the projects are compared to themselves. Then, the voting commences.
BLOCKCHAIN EDUCATION
An important part of the conference, the blockchain education. The order followed on the official site has the blockchain education to be last but I believe 'one has to invest in wisdom first before any asset to avoid losing funds.'
Education is an important aspect in the crypto world, you have to keep learning because it is an ever-changing environment. The team plans to provide "high-quality learning materials, workshops, presentations and some of the top educators for newcomers and blockchain-savvy attendants alike."
INVESTMENT AND NETWORKING
The most important of the events is the investment and networking aspect of it. Of course, as the name implies, this is the time when the investments are done.
There would be access to private sessions with VC firms and family offices and so, this part of the event was divided into three segments: "The Welcome drinks party”, “The Gala dinner”, and the “Grand closing party.”
The Agfacademy (@agfacademy) is another great innovation built on steem; the first of its kind. A Football Coaching Academy that rewards people for upgrading their soccer skills. This academy will be presented at the Nakamoto's den by Oracle-D. As the name implies, this academy is owned by the Professional English Footballer, Andre Gray of Watford F.C, England.
The AGFAcademy was what drew my attention to the Nakamoto's den and that's why I'm writing about it. The project is charity based having its sole aim to be the support of less-privileged teens and adults around the world. All you need to do is use your steem account to log-in through steem connect and of course, tell your friends about it.
Since the inception of this academy four months ago, Andre Gray has been pumping a lot of time into the academy dropping an average of six drills daily. A sum of $7,500 has been distributed so far.
