Today na friday, i know say una don dey jolly.. I wan make we reason Domestic Violence matter today.

Wetin be dis Domestic violence sef?

Domestic violence na wen person wey dey relationship dey abuse e partner.. E fit be Physical abuse wey be say the person dey beat am up and down. Or Emotional abuse/Psychological abuse wey be say the person dey talk to am anyhow so tey the partner no go come believe e self again, come dey do like mumu, the person go dey feel worthless. Or Sexual abuse wey be say the person go dey force e partner to do wetin e no wan do. The problem be say people no dey look well to know if the person wey dem dey love fit dey violent, dey go just dey love dey go, na after dey don marry wey casala go burst their eyes come open.

How we fit know if our partner go dey violent? Wetin be d sign?

• If e no dey give you space
  People wey fit dey violent dey like power well well. If your partner no dey give you space, e wan know where you dey every minute, who you dey talk to every second, e no dey gree commot, e no want make you dey see your friends, e want make e be d only person wey you dey talk to, my broda my sista check am well, no be love.

• E dey insult your body
  My broda my sista no be you create yourself o, if person no like your body make e leave. If your partner dey always abuse your body, dey always use mouth finish you, ask yourself how you dey wen e meet you. Even if you dey try do your body well, e fit be say you fat, your partner go wan manipulate you so tey you hate yourself, abeg just kukuma commot, this one na Emotional abuse.

• E dey make you feel worthless
  If person dey make you feel like say you no get talent, or you no get sense, you no go fit achieve anything for your life, na so you go dey do like mumu. If your partner dey always insult your work or your skill or wetin you dey talk, come dey call you names, na because say e like power and e no wan give you space to better pass am so that e go fit dey control you. Wetin you still dey do for the relationship? Your partner suppose dey encourage you, and e no sup[ose fear your success.

• E dey always blame you
  If your partner dey always blame you for any quarrel wey una get, or for anything wey happen, no be better person. E no dey talk sorry, instead e go twist matter put for your head so that you go dey beg, one day if you no beg am, e fit slap you. If you see this sign, start to dey reason your matter.

• E dey make you fear
  If your partner dey always threaten you, e fit no be to beat you but e fit dey threaten you with another thing, that one na better sign o. As far as e dey put fear for your body, no be better person.

• E dey treat you like maid
  If your partner no dey gree make you talk for the relationship, e no good. E go dey dey make all the decision wey dey the relationship like say na your papa or mama, that one dey show say e like too much power.

One thing wey dey common for people wey dey violent be say dem dey control and manipulate their partner, and if you no do wetin dey want, dey go begin abuse you, na so Domestic Violence dey start.
