Dear Steemian Friends. i will share the importance of learning motivation in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Success in learning mathematics not far from the teacher acts as an informer, communicator, and facilitator. Teaching methods used by teachers can influence the interaction between teachers, students, and learning achievements. Until now we still hear many students complain that math is viewed as a scary, uninteresting, and difficult subject to do, nor does it relate much to everyday life.
Motivating learning is important in the learning process because its function encourages, moves, and directs learning activities. Motivation is a prerequisite in learning, without achievement motivation that is achieved will not be optimal and self motivation is an impulse arising from within yourself or caused by the surrounding environment. Motivation that exist in a person will realize a behavior that is directed at the goal to achieve the goal. The success of one's learning can not be separated from the motivation of the person concerned, therefore basically the motivation to learn is a very decisive factor in the success of one's learning.
Aida Suraya's research indicates a significant positive correlation between effort, confidence, and overall motivation with overall learning achievement. Likewise, a significant positive correlation between effort, self-confidence, worry, and overall motivation with average achievement of student math. Increased motivation of student learning is necessary considering that the learning achievement in general increases if the motivation to learn increases.
Motivation in learning mathematics in general is still low. One of the causes is the lack of motivating factors in self or external factors that support motivation. Strong weakness of one's motivation will affect the success of learning, then the motivation needs to be cultivated, especially from within and from outside by giving gifts, awards, praise and others. In this case, mathematical motivation is important because it will determine the right student's thinking strategy to understand a material.
