Dryads are few of the nymphs that are mortal. It was believed that dryads are inseparable from the tree with which they are bound and die when the tree dies.
It was believed that people planting trees and caring for them, enjoy the special protection of wood nymphs. Dryads will not give him a precipice in the forest if he suddenly gets lost or something happens to him. And for the unjustified damage or destruction of trees, dryads could severely punish a person, for example, deprive the mind.
