What is it?? Revealed

I have been wondering for awhile what this thing is.

The 2 halves fit together and make something common that we see daily (at least in America).

The bright silver part (reminds me of Silvershield Paladin material) is numerous small welds. The welds are made with a laser. The kaser operator looks through what looks like a microscope and hand feeds wire in as the laser pulses and welds.

The surface is worn down and the welds are put on over many hours to build the surface up to where it oringinally was. Both pieces need the surfaces re-built so the mold will function correctly.

I previously thought this was a part to a Milennium Falcon but now know what it really is........

Drum roll please.......

This is a mold for a red, yellow, green traffic light that we see every day while walking or driving.

What would you have guessed that it was??
