The story of the La Pascualita Mannequin Statue or nicknamed Little Pascuala is indeed very legendary in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico. Not because of the sophistication of this mannequin material that makes it special but the tragic history behind its creation. The Mannequin La Pascualita was said to be made from the body of a beautiful woman who was deliberately preserved by the shop owner who was none other than his own parents. Is this legend true or just a myth?

This mystery puzzle began in March 25, 1930. Residents of the Chihuahua city at that time realized that there was a strange and unnatural view of a shop window, there was a statue of a bride displayed on it. One by one they approached the storefront and began to look at the mannequin, from the flushed skin of the hand, real hair and eyeball that looked like a living human, so creepy.

Not waiting for a long time, these rumors spread to someone who related the appearance of a mannequin made from the corpse of the beautiful girl was the daughter of the shopkeeper herself. He is Pascuala Esparza, who died on his wedding day. Poor luck befell Pascuala after he had just finished his wedding reception, a poisonous Black Widow spider biting him until he died miserably.

Pascuala's father was known to be closed and was not associated with the surrounding community, until he also did not want to receive community assistance to bury his daughter, with the reason that his daughter's body would be buried himself in his grandmother's house later.

Over time, the local community still believed that the bride mannequin statue was indeed made from the original Pascuala Esparza corpse, they also had the opportunity to report this to the Police but the lack of accurate evidence made the Police unwilling to act rashly to conduct forensic identification.

They only concluded that the similarities in the face of the bride's mannequin could be the same because the father imitated the photo of his own daughter. Especially the death of his daughter was purely an accident and was not a victim of murder.

Back to the legend of the Little Pascuala bride mannequin statue. More than 87 years to this day, most Mexicans still believe that La Pascualita is indeed made from the body of a bride preserved by his own father.

Although in the present day the owner of the female body mannequin is no longer descended from the family of La Pascualita, but the testimony of the surrounding community and employees who have worked in the store further adds to the truth of the sinister legend of La Pascualita.

Then some strange supernatural events were experienced by some residents, at that time they claimed to have witnessed firsthand the figure of La Pascualita sitting with a face stuck on the edge of a corner of the shop. At first they heard the cries of a woman wearing wedding clothes.

They didn't feel suspicious at all, until they finally reprimanded and the mysterious woman had not answered their question, suddenly one of them pointed at the shop window, if the bridal mannequin was not in the shop window. Then the mysterious woman showed her face with blank eyes, she turned out to be a mannequin statue itself.

Other testimonies came from former employees who had worked as shopkeepers. When we changed the wedding dress model, we felt the skin of La Pascualita mannequin that was so smooth and had skin pores like humans.

In the calf part of the leg, there are still varicose veins. But the most creepy when it arrived at night when we were closing the shop. The mannequin of the woman's corpse seemed to keep watching our movements, and when she looked at her eyes made our goose hair goose bumps, said the former shopkeepers.

Although there are also many people who doubt the truth of the La Pascualita legend, on the grounds of how the process of embalming or mummification of the body can look perfect without removing the contents of innards in the body, especially this mannequin statue is decades old.

Unlike the case with the discovery of mummies in ancient times whose bodies can last forever due to natural selection, for example in extreme cold temperatures that make decomposing bacteria unable to decompose the body.

what about your own opinion, do you believe that Pascuala Esparza's body is indeed trapped in the bride's mannequin? But despite the controversy, the legend of La Pascualita mannequin seemed to bring its own blessing to the inhabitants of the city of Chihuahua, Mexico. Many foreign tourists who come to the city only to see the direct appearance of the corpse mannequin La Pascualita.
