Knowing Kingdom mysteries: I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. John 10:28

Jesus is the good shepherd ("I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me", John 10:14) who comes to give us eternal life according to the Gospel of John: "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.", John 10:28.
Eternal life, together with the new birth of the water and the spirit ( "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit", John 3:5), is one of the deepest mysteries of the doctrine of the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is not a doctrine related to the practice of virtue or the fulfillment of orders or mandates but to living the gifts, the perfections whose origin is God.
Some authors interpret eternal life as a future state, for believers in the revelations of the Kingdom of God. Jesus also presents himself to us as "son of man", that is, as the personification of eternal life ("While I am in the world, I am the light of the world", John 9:5) and therefore its source: "But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.", John 4:14.
In the Gospel of John there is an opposition between the true shepherd who gives true spiritual life to his sheep and the false shepherd who only comes to steal and destroy: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.", John 10:10.

But John is more precise, just as the Gospel of Luke is the Gospel of mercy, the Gospel of John is the Gospel of eternal life.
About eternal life, Jesus explains to us: "This is eternal life that they know you the only true God", John 17:3. Eternal life is the very knowledge of God. Thomas Aquinas defines God as the wisdom itself, and as a consequence, eternal life is the contemplative life or worship of wisdom, the Theologian explains.
Jesus as a good shepherd guides us on the path to eternal life, with his progressive word, his fermental word. Eternal life is the door to that mysterious knowledge of the world, the world of immaterial realities, the hidden of God, the future, the dreams.
