I remember so many times, forgeting to put the electrolye solvent in the solution we ran our gels in and burning the whole thing up because it was just water. :(
Haha, how could you put water instead of buffer?!? :)
Well the usual reason was that we had to make our buffer on the go... if the bottle was empty and you started making it, then got sidetracked and poured it in while it was still water... well things were bad :(
