At the end, I've done chemometric analysis of EPR spectra using SOBI-RO algorithm and several more tricks for my thesis. This was wasting of time.

Will not even pretend I understand it, haha. :D

I myself am from country that does not invest much into science - Slovakia. I am currently finishing my masters thesis, but the journey was tough (well, not as tough as yours). I had to create mutant strain of yeast and it took ages and did not work in the end (numerous people tried to do it before me and failed as well). But this was not the bad part. What really annoyed me were the small things, like we did not have disposable gloves of my size for like three months, or we had to wait like two weeks for polymerase and other chemicals...I am planning to do my PhD somewhere abroad, because I really hate when stuff like this slows me down.

I visited Slovakia once, there was a conference and I liked the castles :)

I understand that crazy situation when you have 100.000 $ worth spectrometer, but no pipette tips or similar stuff :(

P.S. Go Peter Sagan! I watched him twice at Paris-Roubaix

Haha, Slovakia as a country is quite nice and Peter Sagan is like our national hero :D

Well, I hope that I will be able to increase the level of science in my country - because our students are pretty smart, but the financing could be better (so they will not leave for better paid jobs).
