Mypictureday: Glance at Life of Poor in Aceh, Indonesia

On Thursday, May 10, 2018 afternoon western Indonesia time, I headed to an inland village, Meunasah Kumbang village, Aceh Utara, Aceh Province of Indonesia. Entering a hallway, a mother was cooking on edge of her hut, using wood fuel.

The mother named Hamidah, already 70 years old. She admitted, daily with her husband only work in fields. So that income, can only to life survive.

In fact, he claimed to be unable to buy gas or oil fuel. So every day, cooking rice, water, and others, using only wood fuel. Wood can be obtained for free at edge of forest village.

This is condition of reality about plight of poor in Indonesia. They still live below poverty line.

Appropriate data obtained from (https://www.antaranews.com/berita/674750/jumlah-penduduk-miskin-indonesia-2658-juta-orang) number of poor people in Indonesia had reached 26.58 million people. Of these, one of them is, of course, Hamidah.
