My Steemit Name
Vanj, short for vanjjcd - my username for all my social media accounts. It started way back in high school when I got infatuated to a girl named Evangeline (my second "girlfriend"). Her nickname is Vanjie. My real name is Jessie Cris Dagoc, JCD if abbreviated. I combined "vanj" from Vanjie and "JCD" to form vanjjcd.
I used "Vanj" to all my character names in online games. Then after I gathered online friends, they asked me what's my real name. I dont like to reveal my real name because I dont like it (honestly) and also for security purposes that I have to invent a pseudonym. I came up with Vaughn Jaye and told them that Vanj is the shortened form of my real name.
Until now, I'm using it anywhere else online. Not because I haven't moved on yet (because she's already married with 2 kids) but because it's what I've used to. It became a habit and I like the way it is pronounced.
