MY STEEMIT NAME IS @murphylee

My Steemit username @murphylee has become somewhat common. In fact, every Murphy I meet wants to 'borrow' the Lee to add to it in order to make it MURPHY LEE. That's quite strange because many of them don't even know what the name stands for, or who the real Murphy Lee is.

The Real Murphy Lee
Murphy Lee is the nickname of a popular popstar; a rapper by the name Torhi Harper. Here is a brief detail:

Murphy Lee. Torhi Harper (born December 18, 1979), better known by his stage name Murphy Lee, is aGrammy Award-winning American rapper, best known as a member of the hip hop group St. Lunatics. Lee is also the chief executive of his own label, U C Me Entertainment.

Why I started using the name Murphy Lee
When I was younger, and didn't even know that popstar, those in my neighborhood who knew him and knew my real name as: MURPHY just felt that the combination of Murphy and Lee sounds very good to the hears. And thus, my nickname: "MURPHY LEE" emerged. And has been my nickname ever since.

Later, I got to know the singer and rapper and liked him which made me to like my newfound nickname, MURPHY LEE, even more. I felt popular being called by a popular name (I still feel popular by that name today).

Why I chose the name as my Steemit username
In actual fact, I didn't choose the name @murphylee for myself; the name murphylee chose itself for me. That's hilarious! But this is what I mean:

After being called by the name almost all my life, it was the first name that popped into my head as a steemit username.

Given the opportunity, will I change it?
Never. I won't change it. Because @murphylee is not just a name anymore, it has become a part of me. Besides, people love calling me by that name. My steemit Bo$$ @dayjee loves calling me by that name, even my mum loves calling me by the name: Murphy Lee instead of just "Murphy." But to be precise, here are a few reasons why I won't change it:

1. It is easy to remember: even people with memory problems find it easy to remember.

2. It is easy to pronounce: many times I hear little kids who can't even talk well pronounce my name: "Murphy Lee." Someone on this platform might want to tell someone else my name so we could connect with each other (so, what happens if I had a name even the introducer can't pronounce?).

3. It is easy to notice: because there's a popular rapper using the same name as I, many people won't pass by name without noticing it. Which is good for steemit. You know here, in steemit, we all need to be notified.

4. It is easy to associate to a popular personality in the society:

I feel like a VIP being called by a VIP's name.

Really, I feel popular being called by a popular name. The name Murphy Lee rings a bell.

Besides...........
Changing my steemit name @murphylee may result in lose of vestige of the image I have been building so far: there are people here, the username @murphylee has registered something good in their hearts.

Most especially,
I won't change it because: I LOVE IT
(And others tell me they love it, too). In fact, before I started typing this, a steemit babe just confessed to me she likes my username.
