My Name is What? | Challenge

Again I'm just browsing through my feeds when I saw this challenge "My Name Is What?" by @steemitachievers. I think its easy and fun so I'm going to give it a try.

Here we go! The rules are as follows:

-This is a writing contest.
-Please write about your Steemit name.
-Why you chose it and what it means to you?

When I decided to join #Steemit, I've made up my mind that I'll use a pen name— or so I thought.

At first I'm really scared that I'll be shamed for joining because I actually don't have anything to offer, and my works and writings might not pass the standards of this community.
You see, I am no writer. So you can just imagine how frightened , paranoid and reluctant I am, to use a name that will directly confirm my identity. So as I was thinking for a pen name suitable for me—searching the net, trying anagrams and acronyms, reading documentaries—my Mother called. And just like always, talking to Ma gave me some kind of joy, confidence and peace. It's as if everything was right on track.

And then it hits me.

Why not use my mothers name, maiden name—PIALA?

I should just forget the idea of hiding. I may not be good enough, but I am not raised to please everyone.

For once I should believe in my self, For once I should be proud. Proud because I am capable, I am committed, I am strong, I am my Mother's daughter. And just like how my Ma touches my heart. I want to be able to touch the hearts of many.

Thus bring forth the name @michellpiala!

PS. No plans of changing it. Dont want that kind of stress again.
