Racing to become better not richer!
Hello Steemians,
Recently, many of the cases are coming out, where users are cashing a lot to pump their post to the trending page. There is no problem in investing in bots, but there is a problem in investing in the content that you want to see on trending. Investing in bid bots it's like a business and in steemit, we have to do this, "We are paying so that readers can read us", But in the different context, we are actually investing so that it becomes more accessible and open to mass users in steemit. This is same as Facebook, where we pay to promote ideas, thoughts or ads. But the problem starts when we misuse the bid bots, either for high returns or to just fill trending with random shits.
- Now, the issue of Trending page is bigger than the misuse of bid bots. What these people are doing is that they write very few lines, attaches some random pics and boost the post to the trending.
- I really don't know the mindset of such people, I mean don't they think that they are undervaluing their capabilities and talent?
- If I tell this in my context that I was never a blogger and do not use to write even few lines when posting or updating my profile on FaceBook. When I joined the steemit back in Sept 2017, 25 days went thinking like what should I write, what people will love to read or how do I convey my thoughts to them, just by writing..."
I became better day by day...
- Back in Nov 2017, I was truly new to steemit, I had zero knowledge of steem/sbd. It takes me two months to understand this platform. And my days started by posting some random news and information.
- I see that trending page is full of posts where big users are interacting with each other and then I see my post, "Zero Interaction, Zero Upvote, Zero quality content... lol". I was Highly demotivated - not by steemit, but by myself. Now today when I see my first posts on steemit than I am like...
- I heard that using bid bots you can get yourself some high rewards upvote on the post. And I started bidding, sending $BD to receive some upvotes. After playing with it for a month, I quit using bid bots, as I cam to know that problem is not by this mechanism, but by myself. I was hardly writing quality contents or decorating the post.
- I started looking for inspiration blogger, and I found many great bloggers, like @jarrybanfield, @dana-edwards, @stellabele, etc... I learned their way of blogging and started introducing few regular changes. Experimented with a lot of stuff, and today you can see my post!
I always believe in betterment...
- I know that there is a lot of scope for development and betterment in myself. Fear of speech and speak where the scariest of them. As I was not an English-speaker and mother tongue is Hindi, I have to repair my English and my choice of words.
- I practiced a lot and improved my English, then I went to the steem.chat forum and started conversations so I can test my progress in Grammar and sense of humor.
- I completely stopped using the bid bots on my post which is of low level. I do not want to waste money as well as has no intention of Raping Reward Pool, thanks @berniesanders.
- I changed myself as per my reader's requirements. Started posting more sensible things, interacting with awesome people like @firedream @sircork @drakos @tibra and people's at @indiaunited @youarehope and @the-resistance.
I helped many and still...
- I am a small minnow, my earnings and returns are as low as compared to other 50 Repo users. But I kept myself motivated and helped anyone who was in need.
- I helped by delegating, sending my earnings, and by any possible way that is legit or legal!
- I never ask something in return because I have many expectations but from myself and not from the one who needs my help. So I never expected anything in return from anyone and continued my work.
- Now, I love myself a lot and the happiness that I got in return after helping a needy, cannot be expressed in words.
I love you @sircork!!!
Eh, you're growing on me.
;)
Yeah, I get valid points in your write. But we know that many come here feeling that it's a quick rich scheme. Perhaps they won't sweat out but just make some lines and then bid on votes. Anyways in the long-term these shitty things won't work.
Very interesting friends, you have a good talent in steem
You're the kind of writer I WANT to read and follow. Thank you for posting this.
Betterment is the goal. Agreed! It matters more where one is going than where one is, does it not? And the best improvement is self improvement.
By the way, thanks for the mention and kind words :)
