Choice of bait color: natural or "acid" ?

in #myhuntingfishing6 years ago

I once in my blog already touched on the theme of choosing the color of bait for fishing spinning. This is actually an interesting, though not the most important point that should be considered when picking their boxes of gear. The question of choosing the color of lures faces the angler regardless of the method of fishing-jig, fishing for lures or lures. Most anglers prefer (consciously or not) what is one color palette. In some, we can see in the box mainly natural colors, as close as possible to the colors of prey fish forage objects. In others, the Arsenal is dominated by bright acid colors lures.

In my boxes historically lay down a balance between natural and bright colors . Approximately 50 \ 50 in boxes with lures and lures and 30\70 in favor of natural in boxes with silicone lures.

I remember that in the publication, where I raised the issue of color selection, the story of Scandinavian fishermen was offered as a video accompaniment. They tried to solve this controversial issue by conducting an experiment on real fishing. One caught only on natural coloring, and another - only on bright. The dispute at that time remained unresolved, as both fishermen caught the same number of fish ))).

And how would such a dispute be resolved in our waters? The answer can be obtained only after a similar match on fishing. And such a match took place.)) Sergey shipin and Denis Vikhrov decided to put an end to the eternal dispute - "what color does fish prefer - natural or acidic?" Denis caught on bright colors, and Sergey on natural. Tackle the guys were practically identical. Both were fishing with rods 7 + feet with an average test by weight of lures (up to 28 grams), cords #1,2 . Even the coils of the anglers was the same - Daiwa Certate 2500R )). Only the colors and models of the lures used were different...

What ended this battle , we can see in the video story FishingStudio, whose operator took all the details of the battle masters fishing lures.

By the way, in the comments of Denis about the nature of the bites of the caught pike, you can find the answer to the question about the reaction of fish to color. If bright bait fish took very carefully, falling on the back hooks, the bait natural colors it just "ate", grabbing them completely into the mouth, as its natural prey.
That is, we can assume that the bright bait fish bite more out of curiosity or irritation? Quite possible... She , unfortunately, could not meet us herself)). And we, fishermen, every time collecting boxes of lures for another fishing trip, have to wonder what color will be this time a favorite? Or not to guess, but just take with you natural and acid colors equally ))). After all, the account of the fish caught in both experiments mentioned in the end was a draw...
