Encrypt MyEtherWallet keystore
Scams are always active and trying to steal crypto currencies. They use phishing sites or even mallware to retrieve your keystore file. Untill now ! This tool encrypts your keystore file with your own choosen password so you can safely store it on your computer or removable media.
How it works
Encrypt the keystore file:
- Download the zip file from http://www.securemyetherwallet.xyz
- Extract the zip file to the folder you want to place it.
- Double click the SecureMyEtherWallet.exe file
- Select the keystore file you want to encrypt. (If you use the tool for the first time, make sure you backup your current keystore file. ) - Enter a strong password to encrypt the keystore file.
- And you're all done.
- Try the encrypted file on the MyEtherWallet.com website and you will see that the file won't open.
Decrypt the keystore file:
- Double click the SecureMyEtherWallet.exe file
- Select the keystore file you want to decrypt.
- Enter your strong password to decrypt the keystore file.
- And you're all done.
- Now you can use it on MyEtherWallet.
* Use this tool at your own risk. I'm not responsible for any corrupted keystore files. Always backup before using a tool.
