If I compare you to a summer day
You are certainly more beautiful and more entertaining.
The wind spreads the leaves on the ground
And the summer time is quite small.

Sometimes the sun shines too much
Other times, you faint coldly;
What is beautiful declines in one day,
In the tender mutation of nature.

But in you the summer will be eternal,
And the beauty you have will not lose;
You will not come from death to the sad winter:

In these lines you will grow in time.
And while on this earth there is a being,
My living verses will make you live.
