ahhh, on everything I read, they were playing down cost issues but I guessed reading between the lines that must be it. It has to be worth it though to get rid of styrofoam.

I just hope the cost for a fungi-based alternative to plastic will be actually viable in a few years from now. We're only at the beginning of this development, so there's still a possibility of it evolving into being a real alternative.
