RE: #MyCalifornia: Seven Oaks Dam At High Water
Nature is so beautiful, more than we can imagine.... It surprises one almost every time... I love the view, it is so lush and green, with beautiful shapes.
The tower has an interesting view, it looks kinda different from the different times the photo was taken... Maybe the angle?
The panoramic view looks so serene and peaceful! Visiting that place will surely be a delight!
Great photos, you captured the beauty of that place really well, the photos are stunning.
Thanks so much. I agree, going up into the hills and mountains, leaving the city, it is so healing for me.
I took the September photo of the intake tower from the reservoir where we were hanging out fishing for the day. The one from this visit was taken from the road above. It is amazing to note the capacity of this engineering feat! In the documentary, they say that concrete slabs are slid into the tower to prevent mud from going inside. They wait for the sediment to settle before releasing water again.
Here are some other posts I made about this location. Much love and blessings!
