Apatani tribes from Ziro,Northeast India. They call nose plugs. It is used for the specific reason. Long long ago, Apatani women are famous of their beauty and they have been stolen by the raiders of neighbor village. So , they used this way to ugly their faces like that. But fortunately , the later generation are not accept this tradition since 1970. The next point of their attraction is their agriculture system which is ecological efficient. So, Unesco willing to keep their region as a heritage zone.
Do they still practice this tradition?
