Myanmar sentenced 7 soldiers to jail for killing Rohingya,steem-bounty.

Myanmar's seven soldiers were sentenced to 10 years in prison for the killing of unarmed Rohingya. Myanmar army said in a statement Reuters reports that this sentence was told.

These soldiers were sentenced in September last year to kill 10 Rohingya Muslims in remote areas of Rakhine province.

Myanmar military chief Min Aung Hailing's Facebook page said in a statement that these soldiers, sentenced to 10 years in prison, will have to be engaged in strict labor work in remote areas as well as those sentenced in the military court.

In the coastal village, about 50 kilometers north of the capital of Rakhine state on December 18, 10 bodies of Rohingya were found in the mass grave.

The victims of the massacre were Reuters's two journalists Wai Lone and Kia Soo. They were later arrested on charges of violating the state's privacy, they are still captive.

On Aug 24 last year, Myanmar army started a massive operation after the Myanmar police's 30 inspectors and an army camp started simultaneously. In the face of arbitrary killings, rape, looting, and arson, the Rohingyas started fleeing from house to house.

The United Nations has described the campaign as an ethnic cleansing campaign'. According to a report by voluntary organization Medesun Fritie, 6 thousand 700 people were killed in one month in the campaign. Evidence of burning hundreds of Rohingya villages has emerged from the satellite image.

Rohingya women fleeing to Bangladesh complained of rape against army personnel. In a speech by Human Rights Watch, the Myanmar army raided ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya community, a significant and awful part of the rape was a rampant rumor.

In the mid-November, an investigation report by the Myanmar army said that their soldiers did nothing to breach the brutality and human rights, in the midst of criticism and protests across the world about this cruelty on Rohingyas.

After the assassination of the Reuters investigation, the army said that the investigation team has found that the security forces killed 10 people and action will be taken against them.
