My 2018: A Tour around my town: my little owukpa town, Benue state

It another time with @anomadsoul, am so delighted to be part of this contest, a tour around my small home town

It's a little village in Ogbadibo, Owukpa, Benue State Nigeria. This beautiful place has so many things that makes it very interesting to be, the kind of environment, food, culture, their source of water and their source of income.

Children born to this habitat often find themselves so happy that they hardly want to leave, it so free, with less things to really worry about . everything so natural such that nothing really cost much. Take for instance, to get water, you just need to go down to the stream taking through this path

It usually a long distance and very hilly, but it's fun going through this path down to this strange stream

This stream came with a lot of myths( let's leave that for another day or maybe @anomadsoul will introduce another contest about the myths in our town). Going to the stream is the daily activities you will find in this little town. Off course, water is most important

Next, is farming, the people here survive mainly on farming. It is their only source of income and livelihood. They go to farm almost every morning, they also extract oil form palm nuts for their businesses.

Tapping of palm wine is another major thing they do, it is the drink for almost every celebration, marriage, festivals and traditional burials.

The people here also go to school, even though their school environment is not perfect but it helped a great deal solve their need for knowledge. Here is what their schools look like

This small town, has people living in it and they really enjoy their stay, here is a group photo of my family during the Christmas period I visited
