My 2018 - This is my Hobby: Playing Sports
I am a Language Teacher, I speak and teach at least 4 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian) in my own private Language Academy, but the language which I enjoy teaching the most is my native language: English. For over more than 20 years I have been working as an ESL Teacher, and it is my passion, I enjoy what I do every day, but that of course is my Job, my profession and occupation NOT my Hobby.

My Hobby has always been playing sports. I love every sport but I am really good at Basketball and Soccer (football as they call it here in Latin America). Though I am good at every sport I have given a try, I am really good in Football and basketball. I play football every Saturday afternoon with some of the kids who are my ESL students and I am the Captain of the team. I am also the Captain of the basketball team and we also play against other schools and Institutions.

I also watch sports on tv because I love sports and try to see who wins in every sport game or activity, but what is really great is to score goals in football or score points in basketball. I teach in a High School from Monday to Friday, early in the morning and I usually play with the kids from the High School who are in their recess or who have arrived before time, or some who are free.

I am supporting and giving funds to a street soccer team, with kids who play soccer and they have busted shoes or even no shoes at all, I try to cheer them up. Things are not so easy here in Venezuela. But I know that with a good example and working hard, we can help those in need, and keep them away from drugs and bad things

Every weekend I play football (soccer) with all kinds of kids and also with female teams, who sometimes play better than the boys do. I am usually busy playing with them, that is why I lack of pictures to show; the ones I have were taken about a week ago and were unplanned. While playing my Hobbies, I always talk to the kids and encourage them to set their lives for better goals and higher dreams, showing them with actions and not just words to make this world (and specially the Future of Venezuela) a better place starting with their lives!
